Welcome to the website of Norwich and Central Norfolk Mind. We are an innovative and experienced provider of mental health services in Norwich and Central Norfolk.  Each year we provide over 40,000 sessions of support to more than 2,500 individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds.

 

We are affiliated to Mind and are also an independent Charity Registered in England (No. 1118449) and a Company Limited by Guarantee (No. 05729028). We are committed to providing high quality services and participate in the Mind Quality System in addition to being accredited with Investors in People, Supporting People and other regulatory agencies. Our funders include Norfolk County Council, NHS Norfolk and The Big Lottery.

21/08/14 - The Resilience Partnership Launch!

We are delighted to announce an exciting new initiative that is aimed directly at all workplaces across Norwich & Central Norfolk.  This innovative opportunity provides organisations with access to support and training to create a healthy workplace culture.  The Resilience Partnership, is a joint initiative between Norwich & Central Mind’s WellBusiness Service and the NHS Wellbeing Service. In other words, the experts specialising in supporting Organisational and Individual mental health and wellbeing.  The Resilience Partnership will be formally launched at a prestigious event to be held on Tuesday 30th September at St. Andrews House in Norwich. (Arrival / Networking from 130pm. Launch 2-4pm. Networking until 5pm.)

09/05/14 - New Project Tackles Mental Health Discrimination Head On!

Norwich and Central Norfolk Mind newest project - The Bigger Picture – Cinema to Change your Mind.  The Bigger Pictureis about video and film events that create the opportunity to share conversations around mental health, challenge labels and change minds and attitudes all around Norfolk.  The project is lead by people with mental health problems and it aims to bring people who don’t have mental health problems into social contact with those who do. 06/05/14 - Fiesta Night at La Tasca!

La Tasca are holding a Fiesta Night to raise funds for Norwich Mind.  Tickets cost just £19.95 per person and include a two course meal, paella and salsa demonstration and a sangria masterclass.  The night is being held on the 13th May from 6pm to 9pm at La Tasca, Tombland, Norwich.  For tickets please telephone 01603 776420.

13/02/14 - Outspoken arts and music charity event - 28th Feb Norwich

OUTSPOKEN is a quarterly event which aims to support local talent (bands, singer-songwriters, poets, writers etc) in the region and at the same time highlight the wonderful causes championed by local various charities.

 

All the proceeds of the 28th February event will go to the wonderful charity, Norwich and Central Norfolk Mind, which for nearly five decades, has provided assistance to individuals with mental illness in Norfolk. www.norwichmind.org.uk.

18/09/13 - Loan Sharks Beware!

Norwich Mind has successfully secured  funding to host a number of workshops aimed prevent people from being exploited by loan sharks.

The workshops will look at creating a healthy lifestyle  within a budget. They will focus on what you can do for free in Norfolk and will address the true cost of high interest loans and the dangers of borrowing from  loan sharks.
