Mental Health Awareness Week 2018

From the 14th to the 20th May 2018 we’re celebrating Mental Health Week, a whole week dedicated to raising awareness of mental health and wellbeing every year, promoted by the Mental Health Foundation.

This year’s theme is stress. Research has shown that two thirds of us experience a mental health problem in our lifetimes, and stress is a key factor in this. The aim of the week is to look at how we can tackle stress and help improve our mental health. A message we wholeheartedly support here at Norwich and Central Norfolk Mind.

In partnership with Norfolk County Council and the Wellbeing Service, as part of Norfolk's Time to Change Hub, we are pleased bring you a week of events focused on tackling stress and improving our mental health.

It's Time to Talk

It's easy to think there's no right place to talk about mental health. But the more we talk about it, the better life is for all of us. Too many people with mental health problems are made to feel isolated, worthless and ashamed. On the 17th May we will be at the millenium library to encourage people to be more open about mental health and to reduce the stigma and discrimination associated with it. It is also an opportunity to find out more about Norwich and Central Norfolk Mind. So pop along for a chat, we'd love to meet you.

Free to attend! No need to book!

When? 17th May 2018 from 10:00am till 2:00pm
Where? Norfolk & Norwich Millennium Library, The Forum, Norwich NR2 1AW
