Counselling Clinical Placements
We have no clinical placements available at this time but if you would like to submit an application and go on to the waiting list for opportunities that arise in the future your application would be welcome.
Qualifications and requirements
You will need to be studying towards one of the following qualifications:
- Diploma in Counselling (Level 4 or above) or other appropriate level 4 qualification in Counselling.
- Degree or Masters in Counselling, Psychotherapy or Art Therapy.
You will also need to have had (or be almost there) 30+ hours of personal counselling and preferably hold a student membership of the BACP/UKCP.
Counselling Clinical Placements Available
50 Sale Road, Norwich, NR7 9TP:
Monday: 9am to 4pm
Tuesday: 9am to 2pm and 1pm to 4pm
Wednesday: 4pm to 6pm
Thursday: 9am to 3pm
Friday: None
The Annex, The Close, NR1. In the grounds of Norwich Cathedral:
Monday: 3.30pm – 6pm x2
Tuesday: None
Wednesday: 1.30pm to 3.30pm
Thursday: Block of three hours between 9am and 2.30pm
9am to 12.30pm
Friday: 9am to 1.30pm

Interviews are held at Norwich Mind Head Office. NR7 9TP. You will be notified if your application is successful by email.
Interviews take place three times a year. March, June and October. In exceptional circumstances interviews can be arranged outside of these months for example if you are a qualified counsellor.
Offers of placement are made subject to a three-month probation period, within which you will be inducted, monitored and supported.
