Get Set To Go is a new project aiming to support people with mental health problems to be more physically active in their local community.
In partnership with Active Norfolk, we are launching Get Set To Go to help people find the physical activity that's right for them. We will also help people stick at it for long enough to feel the physical, social and mental benefits of being active.
If you live in Lakenham, Heartsease, North Earlham or Mile Cross and would like to get involved please get in touch!
Over the next 18 months we will be offering free taster sessions and a 12 week course in the following activities:
• Swimming in Lakenham
• Running in Heartsease
• Table tennis and tennis in North Earlham
• Yoga and/or Pilates in Mile Cross
If you are active already and want to get involved you can also support others by becoming a volunteer peer navigator. Full training and ongoing support is provided.
If you have lived experience of a mental health problem you can also help the project as we engage with and train the sport and leisure sector so they can make their services more welcoming to those managing a mental health problem.
