If you are aged 16-25 and would like to work on projects aimed to make a difference to others who struggle with mental health problems and increasing awareness of mental health problems in the community then this is for you. The Youth Forum is a great opportunity to develop a range of skills and meet other like-minded young people.
The Youth Forum is:
- Led by its members: you decide what we work on.
- An opportunity to attend training and workshops on mental health and wellbeing.
- A place to put your existing skills to work such as planning, running, design, editing and much more.
- Learn from other people.
- Develop skills to add to your CV.
Currently, the Youth Forum is creating a booklet on ‘Mental Health in the Workplace’ geared at those seeking employment, employees and employers. It will cover topics from the benefits of hiring someone who has experienced mental health difficulties, the Equality Act, looking after yourself at work and speaking to your line manager about what you’re going through.
